I just finished watching World Trade Center.

I don't know..... I don't know what to say... How to react...



Anyway, if you get a chance to see it,
I love the part when John's (Nicholas Cage) wife is waiting for him in the hospital, and she meets another woman who is waiting for her son who is an elevator operator on one of the Towers. The other woman tells John's wife how she screamed at her son the last time she made dinner because he got held up at work and the food went to waste. Now that she's not sure he's alive, she said she just wants to hold him.

I love that part because it shows how all the small things that we think are huge at a particular moment turn out to be irrelevant details when it comes to our bigger picture -- ultimately, it doesn't really matter if someone was late or if she forgot our birthday. It's just not important anymore.

Kaninang afternoon, me and my friends were nakatayo outside the school when we overheard mga younger girls nagsasalita like this. And they were so tuwa over what their pinag-uusapan, they did not pansin us listening sa kanilang conversation. Sa totoo lang, I was nabigla to know that may nagta-talk pala talaga that way ... tapos sa our school pa? Shock talaga me ha. Tapos Erika gaya-gaya pa the way they salita, nahiya tuloy me kasi they'll notice na we were nakikinig to them. Buti na lang, like, umalis na pala them sa our side.
